There were three new members elected to the C3 Executive Boardat the 2011 AGM: Sudhir Abhyankar (President - Elect), Anka Lekhi (BC/Yukon Director), and Christopher Lovallo (Conference Coordinator, 2012). Contact info can be found on the Executive page.

This year's conference at Dawson College, Montreal QC, was a huge success. Brian Seivewright and his committee did a wonderful job of organizing talks and food. Congratulations to all who made this a successful meeting.

The executive approved using PAYPAL as an optional method for paying for your conference registration and membership renewal. With PAYPAL you can use your existing account or a credit card. Alternately, we are still accepting personal cheques as payment. Let us know what you think of this new option.
Brian Seivewright (Dawson College) has accepted the position of Regional Director for Quebec along with his position as conference coordinator for the 2011 conference. Thanks Brian for filling this important role.
The C3 executive voted during the October Executive Meeting to increase the award value of the two Student Awards from $400 to $800. The two awards, the "C3 Host College Student Scholarship" and the "C3 General Student Scholarship", are intended to help a student pursue studies at a Canadian College or University (or other post-secondary educational institution) in science, and to raise the profile of College Chemistry Canada. The C3 Executive recently approved a motion to publish the C3 News in electronic format only. Read the latest issue compiled by Editor Arlana Moskalyk.
The 38th Annual Conference "Teaching Chemistry in the Information Age" was held at Dawson College, Montreal, from June 1-3. Thanks to Brian Seivewright and all of the organizers for a great conference.
